How to Go Ads Free
It surprises me every time I see somebody surfing the web without an ad blocker. While I understand the need for ads to sustain specific businesses on the internet, I absolutely deny them, because I think there could be another way. But that I will go into in another post.
This post is only going to list three ways to go ad-free, for those who never even thought that this was possible. I will go from the least technically savvy method to the more sophisticated one.
- Browser-level blocking – Specifically, uBlock Origin. Just switch to Firefox, install this add-on, and that's it.
- DNS level blocking – Switch to a DNS provider that offers ad blocking. For that, I recommend NextDNS.
- Router-level blocking – Certain routers offer ad blocking, like those from UniFi.
